Kalaloch Beach #4 Tide Pools

Somehow, our last day in Olympic National Park was upon us. After awakening in our camper van in the parking lot of Kalaloch Beach #4, we couldn’t help but spend another morning visiting tide pools during low tide. This beach had several fun shelters made of giant driftwood logs perched on the sand.

Lake Quinault

Departing from the coast line, the drive east began on our way back to Seattle. Highway 101 led us to Lake Quinault. The 0.5 mile Rain Forest Nature Trail Loop was an easy way to stretch our legs and get more views of the greenery before leaving the area.

World’s Largest Sitka Spruce Tree

A short drive further northeast on South Shore Road takes you to the “World’s Largest Sitka Spruce,” another fun landmark of an absolutely gargantuan tree that is amazing to be in the presence of.
